KPMG's Audit practice provides the Financial Statement Audit as its
primary service, which is supported by a rigorous audit methodology,
robust technology and global consistency. KPMG's focus is on the
client's financial statements, emphasizing the critical nature of
substantive procedures, as well as effective risk assessment and control
testing activities. To further enhance our Financial Statement Audit,
KPMG auditors use a multidisciplinary approach to combine such technical
knowledge and skill sets as tax, forensics, information risk management
and valuation as well as an industry focus to the audit to help ensure
that the engagement team understands the client's business.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagements of various
Financial Services clients, including Securities and Exchange Commission
(SEC) clientele
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior
associates, managers and partners
- Interact with clients to help ensure that the information flow from
the client to the audit team is efficient
- Understand and utilize KPMG’s Audit Methodology
- Supervise the audit staff assigned to engagements, including
completing performance reviews
- Work with the audit team to develop hourly budgets, fee analysis, and
to identify performance improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
- Two years of recent audit experience in public accounting
- BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam
- Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures
- Ability to meet challenging client requirements, provide services, and
possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research
abilities
- Willingness and ability to travel
